Creating a new product or service and scaling it from 0-1 isn’t a linear path. On the contrary, it’s a process that requires oscillation between divergent and convergent activities until you’ve distilled a capability that is valuable for members and business alike. This toolkit for product experimentation and design research will give you everything you need to get started.
Running continuous product experimentation and research sounds great as an idea or philosophy, but it requires a system to manage and sustain the process and the learnings produced to create meaningful experiences to drive real impact.
It’s hard to know what you’re missing out on if you haven’t seen this in action. That’s why we’ve created this Notion kit to provide everything you need from a high-level to task level to create a baseline process, and system that will take your team from shipping outputs to outcomes.
The traditional, linear product delivery process looks like this (see image below). Everything starts in the solution space, spending very little time on distilling feedback, instead the focus is on packaging them into features to be shipped as quickly as possible. This is why so many features launched fail because they’re created in haste altogether void of compelling value for users.

The alternative method begins in the problem space where observations are distilled into key insights that form a core hypothesis to address a need or struggling moment that’s of significant value for the users and meaningful (or profitable) for the business to explore solving. The idea is to draw a line from observations → insights → hypothesis → experiments which allow you to learn what worked and why. As a team builds the rigor to follow this process, measure impact and celebrate learning the quality of the tests and bets the team wins compound incrementally.

👇🏽 Below you will find everything you need to understand, organize, track product experiments and research that cultivate a culture of shipping outcomes and celebrating learning.
